Placement status column

Hey Folks,

Is there a way to get the status column as observed in the Placement report downloaded through the AdWords page in any of the reports?  The AdWords page report has more values than the Placement performance report does for this column, and I am unable to find a service call or report value that is comparable.

Hi Mark,

There are two types of placements reports, the Automatic placements report and the Managed placements report.  

The Automatic Placements Report (rows with status equal to Automatic) maps to AUTOMATIC_PLACEMENTS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT in the API. 

The Managed Placements report (rows with status equal to Managed)  maps to the PLACEMENT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT type in the API. 

The status available on the Adwords product side represents separate reports on API side and there is no field in the report that maps that status (Automatic or Managed) values.

Hi Mark,

You could use a combination of the Status and IsNegative fields on the PLACEMENT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT to get similar information as the Status field in the user interface.

On the AUTOMATIC_PLACEMENTS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, you can use IsPathExcluded to detect excluded (negative) placements.
