get metric report by asset

I'm running campaign of type display with ad of type responsive display ad. 
I want to get a cost report based on the assets. I tried to use the following endpoints 
ad_group_ad_asset_view
feedbackad_group_asset
campaign_asset. 

All returned empty with more then one account. 

Then I tried to connect manully asset of AD_IMAGE to ad_group and it returned to me an error that there is a problem with this type of asset and campaign of type display. But according to https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/assets/overview this doc it seems legit. 

So my question is how if it possible to retrieve a metric report based on assets, and if so how can I do it?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your concern for assets, if you want to get the data from the Google Ads API with responsive display ads, unfortunately this is currently not possible. Retrieving data in ad_group_ad_asset_view for responsive display ad is not supported. The AppAds, Responsive Search Ads and App pre-registration ads are the following supported in the ad_group_ad_asset_view. Kindly note that our team already raised this feature request, subject for review. For now, please follow our blog (https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/search/label/google_ads_api) as we will post relevant updates when it becomes supported.
