Maintaining Stitch connectivity while moving Ads accounts to Google Marketing Platform

Hey folks,

We currently have the following setup for our business:
  • A Google Marketing Platform (GMP) established (including an organization)
  • A Google Ads (GA) manager account that an employee set up using their business account
  • A GA client account that employee set up under the GA manager account 
  • Stitch pulling data from the GA client account

I'd like to link the 2 GA accounts to our organization in GMP for more centralized auditing, user management, and reporting. I'd like to do this while ensuring I'm not breaking the Stitch integration to the GA client account.

If I simply link the GA manager account to our GMP org, does that also allow us to  link/view/manage client accounts under that manager without breaking Stitch connectivity?

I'm looking for more information, recommendations, and any documentation I may have missed in my research.

From the API's perspective, it does not appear to be possible to link Google Ads accounts to the Google Marketing Platform. Our API team also does not have visibility to the GMP and we would not be able to provide further comments.

For context, you can find in this guide, more information and the scope regarding account management using the Google Ads API. In addition, I would recommend that you reach out instead to the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, to confirm if it is possible via the UI to link Google Ads accounts to GMP and any possible documentation that can be used for reference.
