Detail Placement View

Hi, I had a question related to placement types. 

The field description for detail_placement_view.placement_type states "Output only. Type of the placement, for example, Website, YouTube Video, and Mobile Application." But the data type describes the following ENUMs: "GOOGLE_PRODUCTS, MOBILE_APPLICATION, MOBILE_APP_CATEGORY, UNKNOWN, UNSPECIFIED, WEBSITE, YOUTUBE_CHANNEL, YOUTUBE_VIDEO". 

However, the API returns no "YOUTUBE_CHANNEL" data whereas the Google Ads dashboard does return the campaigns with this placement type. The query we are using is this:

'SELECT metrics.cost_micros,campaign.name,detail_placement_view.placement_type,segments.date FROM detail_placement_view WHERE segments.date BETWEEN "2024-02-01" AND "2024-02-26"'

Is there any way to get YOUTUBE_CHANNEL and the other enums using this API?

By reviewing your query, I understand that you are not able to retrieve the "YOUTUBE_CHANNEL" data via the Google Ads API. I would like to inform you that the logs which you have provided, I would like to inform you that the logs do not contain the customer ID and response body in it. In order to debug the issue further, kindly provide us with the updated complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end, along with the uncropped UI screenshot to better assist you on this request. 

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.
