Hello Mat, Adrian,

We recommend to use the AdWords API for your production systems. While Google Ads API is in “beta”, you may use the new API for testing and development work in preparation for future migration. Please keep in mind that during this "beta" phase, there may be breaking changes in the Google Ads API. We're sorry for this inconvenience.

Note that Google Ads API is not going away and we are committed to it. During the "beta" phase, we will focus on delivering a much better performing Google Ads API to meet your and your customers’ needs.

Best,
Thanet, Google Ads API Team

I was in the process of planning to update to this API.
I'm guessing it's best I stick with the `v201809` API for now.

Is there going to be an update to the sunset of the `v201809` API? This was planned for early 2020 wasn't it?

Hi Adrian,

Although it's likely that many parts of the Google Ads API would be changed to improve the performance, at the end, the Google Ads API will not be totally deprecated. Once the performance is improved, the Google Ads API will exit Beta and will be generally available again. Therefore, you can keep you code for future use.

However, in the case you would like to use the API for production use, I'm afraid that the AdWords API is more suitable in this situation.

Cheers,
