We, as the 3rd party click measurement provider, are applying our click trackers on various Google Ads accounts to let the clients additionally collect the statistics.
According to the Google Ads docs parallel tracking is mandatory for Search type campaigns, but that is not the case for accounts we have checked. It appears that
http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk always makes sequential hops when redirecting to the final url and not redirecting the user to final + firing tracking template in the background using
https://google.com/asnc/ with &gb=1 parameter.
What is the default behavior handling click requests for Search type campaigns?
Is there anything we could check to identify why redirects work like that?
