Automatic removal from Rule-Based user list

I would like to confirm the behavior of the rule-based user lists.  I know that if i give the list a rule to include people with the property `abc=true`, that those people will automatically be added to the audience.  I would like to confirm that if the `abc` property on the same user is subsequently set to `false`, whether that person will be automatically removed from the list as well.  

I would assume this is the case--and I really hope it is--but I do need to confirm as I've not found it mentioned specifically in the docs.

Hello Ralph,

Based on my experience with remarketing lists, I don't believe the person will be removed when you set the new rule. If this is a remarketing list based on people who visit your website, then that new rule will be applied to the next person who visits the site after you've applied the rule. If a person in the site visits your site again and no longer matches the rule, they will be removed from the list. Otherwise, people will just fall off the list as their time on the list expires. Feel free to double-check with the General AdWords Forum, since this falls into the category of a more general AdWords question.

I wasn't aware of the other general forum.  I will double check there.  But despite your initial suggestion that it wouldn't work, your second sentence makes it sound like the system will remove people for whom the rule no longer applies.  I am creating custom rules and setting the user properties manually--so if i want to remove someone from a list i will alter the value of their property associated with the appropriate rule for that list, and expect that they will be removed.

Hi Ralph,

Let's see if I can clarify what I mean. If you change the rule, our logic won't automatically (immediately) go through the existing list to remove people. However, if a user actively visits your website and triggers your new rule again, they won't match the new rule which means they'll be removed from the list.
