Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you want to assign a label owned by a Manager account to campaigns in multiple customer accounts. I would like to inform you that any user with access to the Manager account will be able to manage the label owned by the Manager account and apply it to all the accounts under the Manager account.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for answering.
I tried to assign an MCC account's label to a child account's campaign using add_campaign_labels.py located in Git.
I was able to assign a label to the child account, but I was unable to assign a label to the MCC account.
The following error message will appear.
Labels from a manager account cannot be applied to campaign, adgroup, adgroupad, or adgroupcriterion resources.

Please let me know if there are any points that need attention or changes.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that while applying labels you have encountered an "INVALID_RESOURCE_FOR_MANAGER_LABEL" error. Kindly note that labels from a manager account cannot be applied to campaign, ad group, ad group ad, or ad group criterion resources. In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end and uncropped UI screenshot of the Google Ads account where you are facing the issue.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides in Python to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.
