UNABLE_TO_AUTHORIZE from ManagedCustomerService

Hello,

We recently started to notice that there seem to be stability issues of AdWords API on ManagedCustomerService.

In a call that we tried to query the managed account for a particular manager account, we initially got the error message in the exception:

Could not complete authorization due to an internal problem.. (Error: AuthorizationError.UNABLE_TO_AUTHORIZE, FieldPath: , Trigger: <null>)

We have retry mechanism and on the next retry, the same call succeeded.

We started to observe such issues on different account from 2020-06-18 13:47 UTC. Can you please help check if there is any issue with the API?

Wondering if anything get regressed from AdWords side? Never saw similar issues in the past. It shows up for multiple customers. Please help investigate, thanks!

Thank you for reaching out. The AuthorizationError.UNABLE_TO_AUTHORIZE error is an internal error on our end. Can you provide the following details:
  • MCC IDs where you are noticing the error 
  • Email addresses of the users authenticating the API calls 
Since you are able to successfully make this call intermittently, I will check on this further within my team to see if there are any ongoing issues with ManagedCustomerService. Providing these details may help us deeper investigate. Please ensure that you "Reply privately to author" when providing sensitive information.
