Querying for Pmax_asset_group reporting with metrics by API

Hi,

I've been looking for a way to fetch asset_group data with metrics like clicks, impressions and conversions etc. But when I checked with Google Api Docs (reference link : Asset_group_reporting ) It's given Attribute/Attributed Resource Fields only, and no metrics can be found. And it's giving PROHIBITED_METRIC_IN_SELECT_OR_WHERE_CLAUSE error when tried adding campaign level metrics which is understandable. 
So I have these queries :

1. Are these metrics available through API ?
2. If Not then when can I expect these are made publically available ?

It'll really help me a lot if I can get any information on this.

As defined in the asset group (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v13/asset_group_query_builder) report query builder guide, there are no selectable metrics in this report. Kindly note that Google Ads API mirrors UI. That said, can you share with us the Google Ads UI screenshot (without cropping) of the data you are trying to retrieve via API? This is so we can check better and provide more appropriate answers accordingly. Furthermore, kindly note that in comparing UI and API data, please make sure to consider the following items below:

• Comparing the API and UI on the same level as much as possible
• The segments and fields of the API and UI should be the same
• The date range is also the same
