Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.
Kindly note that an "asset ID" refers to a unique identifier assigned to each individual asset within your Google Ads account, allowing you to reference and manage specific elements like headlines, descriptions, images, or phone numbers used in your ads; you can access this ID through the "
asset" entity when querying the API. Where this asset ID helps track the specific asset across different campaigns, ad groups, and ads. As per the
documentation, the asset ID itself doesn't uniquely identify the specific ad. It only identifies the asset content. So, even if the asset content is the same, it can be used in different combinations to create different ads. I would recommend you to check this
Assets documentation for more information.
In order to assist further, could you please confirm what you mean by "different ad IDs"? Are you seeing the same asset ID used in ads that have different ad IDs but are within the same campaign, or are they in entirely different campaigns? Please provide us with the uncropped UI screenshots by highlighting the fields and IDs where you are having the issue.
