Estimated performance

Hi,

I am trying to accomplish the same thing as in the Google Ads UI when a new campaign is being created - get estimated performance.

The idea is that once I enter some targeting criteria, such as keywords, languages, locations, demographics, etc. I am able retrieve the estimation.

I would like to be able to get this estimation before I enable my campaign/ad.

Could you please assist with this?

Hi Filip,

Campaign estimates prior to creating them is not available in the API. Since you mentioned that this is available in the Google Ads UI, and so our team can create a feature request (subject for review), could you share to us the complete screenshot where these estimates can be viewed?

Should your screenshot contain your user / account information, you may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the response.

In the attachment, you can find the screenshot of this option in UI. 

Since there is no option to do it in this phase in the API, could you please advise on how to get that estimation after the campaign creation?

Hi Filip,

I have created an internal feature request on your behalf. Please see the blog and release notes for relevant updates.

The API does not support campaign performance estimation for targeting as shown in your screenshot. However, it does support the following forecasting tools:

• Generating forecast metrics through the planning service
• Bid simulations for various bidding scenarios
