Hi,

as we are currently working on the migration to the new Google Ads API we would need clarification on the following points:

- Is the API (the interface itself, client libraries) considered to be stable enough to continue this migration work?
- What does this mean for the deprecation schedule of the Adwords API v201809?

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

The Google Ads API is committed to delivering information with high data integrity. We decided to put the Google Ads API back into "beta" mode due to performance concerns, not data integrity issues. Google Ads API is not going away and we are committed to it. During the "beta" phase, we will focus on delivering a much better performing Google Ads API to meet your and your customers’ needs. We recommend to continue running production systems using the AdWords API. While Google Ads API is in “beta”, you may use the new API for testing and development work in preparation for future migration. Please keep in mind that during this "beta" phase, there may be breaking changes in the Google Ads API.

The deprecation nor the sunset date has not been set yet. Once the product exits “beta”, we will announce the deprecation date and the sunset date will be at least 1 year after Google Ads API reaches feature parity with AdWords API.

Let me know if you have any concerns.

Thanks,
Bharani, Google Ads API Team
