I am also looking for this answer regarding set keyword bids at the keyword level (not adgroup level, not campaign level).

How do I query (get) and manually update keyword MaxCPC. Im specifically looking for an answer regarding shopping campaigns, but any campaign type is relevant if specified in the answer.

Is no one answer questions in the negative? If the functionality is not there, please say so.

Hi,

To set the keyword bids at the Keyword level, you can use the ad_group_criterion field. In the ad_group_criterion, filter the ad_group_criterion.type by KEYWORD and include the ad_group_criterion.cpc_bid_micros field.

Please be informed that keyword bids aren’t applicable to smart bidding. They are applicable to manual CPC bidding for Search and eCPC bidding for Search and Display campaigns. To update "Max. CPC" manually for keywords, I would recommend you refer to this help center article on Change your keyword bids for more information.
