Getting tempId in changeEvent for campaignBudget in google ads api

When requesting for change event for an account on which I just launched a campaign using google ads api, I am getting back tempId instead of original ID in campaign budget of campaign CREATE event in the response of change event for that account. I am using this snippet to pull change event.

Eg: "campaign_budget set to [customers/<redacted>/campaignBudgets/-171]".

This issue was not present when I last checked with version v11 of the api on 21st Feb 2023. Getting this now with both version v12 and v13. Can someone help me with this?

Moving forward to our concern about the “tempId instead of original ID in campaign budget of campaign CREATE”, for our team to further compare, investigate, and validate why you are encountering issues, can you provide more information?
 

• Provide the complete (request and response with request-id) logs with request ID generated as shown in the respective links.
• Complete or uncropped screenshots from the Google Ads UI of the data that you are retrieving. (optional)

We do this to check if there is any error thrown using API and to provide the right recommendation.

If you haven't enabled logging yet, it can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag. This will cause the tool to include the HTTP response headers in the output.

You can provide the information via Reply privately to the author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

Since Mike is on vacation, I am responding on his behalf. We think we have identified the root cause of this issue, but further investigation is required to confirm the details and evaluate a fix. I'll keep you posted.

We have pushed a fix, so this issue shouldn't happen going forward. However, it isn't easy for us to go back and backfill this data, so we request that you manually correct this data for the old changeEvents that returned tempId in the past if required.
