Download non-monthly billed invoices via API

Hello,

I need to use the Google Ads API to download invoices from my account, which is not set to monthly billing.

The documentation (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/billing/overview) specifies that the payment settings must be set to monthly billing in order to use this API functionality, but that is not possible for my use-case.

Is there any way to retrieve invoices via an API for an account which does not use monthly billing?

I have followed the steps in that guide, attempting to retrieve an invoice - but I receive an API error:

Hi Leon,

The error message indicates that you are not meeting the first prerequisite for using this service, which is to have monthly invoicing enabled. Please enable this feature. 

If you suspect it already is enabled, please privately provide us with the complete request and response logs.

Is there any way at all to programmatically download invoices without turning on monthly invoicing?

And also to clarify, on the documents page, in the statements tab - this is what I am trying to access via the API.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, the prerequisites listed here are needed before you can be able to retrieve invoices using the API.

As for the "documents page, in the statements tab", I'm afraid that our API support team is not familiar with all the different views in the UI. However, if that specific page contains your account's invoice information, then those should map as well to the invoice feature of the API.
