Duplicate geotarget id for state and region

Hi,

I tried running a query from the state segment and a query from the region segment, and I got that every state, has a region, with the same id.

For example, I get California as a state, with certain metrics, and I get California as a region, with different metrics, but with the same id.

Can you please advise?
