Hello everyone!

I've been struggling to find out why we receive this error when trying to use ManagedCustomerService operations, such as fetching a Selector. The account in use can manipulate everything from inside the AdWords dashboard. The keys and token seems to be valid. This account is not the main one, but it is associated with an MCC account. Inside the dashboard, I can see the account has admin privileges.

Is there anyway to check this account permissions when communicating with the API? Is there any way to teste the API connection/call through "curl" or something else? We are using the PHP lib.

Thank you in advance,
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,

A USER_PERMISSION_DENIED means there is no link between the manager account authenticated in the request and the client account specified in the headers. Please check in the MCC account to see if the account specified is linked to the MCC.

Thanks,
Yin, AdWords API Team.

Hi Yin!

Thank you for the quick feedback.

As I said, according to what I see on my dashboard, the accounts are linked. Where I can check that? How can I be sure these accounts are linked?

Thank you!

Hi,

You can log onto your MCC account, click the Accounts label and see if the account you want to access is listed.
