If you look at the developer document of Google ads, keyword_view and display_keyword_view exist. I saw this and saw that keyword_view means a keyword corresponding to a Google search advertisement. However, when you look up keyword_view, the advertisement keyword in the form of a Google display is also looked up, and some keywords are not looked up or viewed, making it difficult to understand consistency. What is the exact meaning of this keyword_view?

Also, when I look up keywords in google search, keyword_view looks up all the search words that users can search for and come in, even though I didn't register it, if match_type is BROAD. Is there a way to look up exactly the keywords I registered?

I would appreciate it if you could let me know if there's anything I'm mistaken about.

Hi,

After reviewing your concern, I understand that you want to know the difference between keyword_view and display_keyword_view. Please find answers below for your query.

keyword_view:

  • Represents keywords primarily associated with search campaigns.
  • Can include some keywords from display campaigns that also target the search network.

display_keyword_view:

  • Specifically for keywords associated with display campaigns.

  • Kindly go through the Generate Historical Metrics documentation to get all the historical metrics related to the keyword up to approximately 12 months. I hope this documentation will help you with your requirements. If the above documentation does not address your requirement, please provide uncropped UI screenshots with clear visibility of customer ID, highlighting the fields from which you are attempting to retrieve them via the API, so that we can assist you better.

I hope this helps. Kindly get back to us if you have any queries related to the Google Ads API.
