AdWords API on App Engine PHp

Hi,

I'm trying to get the AdWords API working on App Engine (PHP Version).

On my local machine everything is working as needed, but as soon as i upload it to App Engine i'm getting a SoapFault error "Could not connect to host".

When i dump the request itself and try it manually its working both from my local machine and both from the App Engine platform.

Have any one had any usage with the AdWords API in App Engine? Or any other suggestions why it doesn't work ?

Hi,

Are you using the AdWords API client library for PHP?  The client library does not support App Engine at the moment.

Yes i am trying to use the AdWords API Client Library for PHP.

Any idea how i can make it work? Or any idea what is the reason that its not working so i can fix it?

Also, any estimate on when it will work?

Hi,

Primarily it's because of the use of curl in the code (and maybe other things as well).  Using this client library in the App Engine is not yet supported.

Hi,

Isn't AdWords API PHP SDK supported by App Engine yet? On dev environment it works fine, but I'm getting several errors on App Engine Standard Environment, like: 

SimpleOAuth2Handler :: GetAccessToken

Severity: Warning

Message: array_merge(): Argument #2 is not an array

Filename: Util/SimpleOAuth2Handler.php

Line Number: 73

Any thoughts? Will I need to create a instance on Compute Engine only to host AdWords API integrations?

I'm afraid AdWords API PHP client library is not supported in App Engine yet. You can try using AdWords API Python client library on App Engine. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to use AdWords API on App Engine.
