Error: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error for Client account of Test manager account - Even with test a/c

Hi

I think this error is happening quite often as discussed in this forum.

I am using Developer token of a non-test account for another test manager's client account. In my app.config file, for the entry : ClientCustomerId, if i am using the test client account's ID account and using my Developer Token from my non-test account, which is not yet approved.

From my understanding, with the test account manager number used as the 'clientCustomerId' (red box in the top right corner), i don't see the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error but i don't get the list of campaigns from campaignService. Though when i use the client ID of the test account  (not manager) created under test manager account i get the error. Even though the developer token is not approved, I believe it should work for the test client account. Can someone help me in identifying what am i missing or if the bug I have been reading about is still outstanding?

Hi,

Yes, it should work in your case since you are using a developer token with test access to make calls against a test account. In order to investigate this further, can you provide the email address where the developer token belongs, as well as the complete SOAP request and response logs? We are experiencing the same issue. Using a production developer token, we are attempting to access an account managed by a Test Manager Account, but are receiving the error DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED.

Currently, our team is actively investigating an issue to the one you encountered. Allow me to update in this thread once information is available if a resolution has been applied.

Also, "Creative conversion report" is equivalent to "Free clicks" in the AdWords UI.

Hi,

I would like to inform you that the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT _APPROVED error you encountered is now fixed. The fix will be only available to newly created client test accounts. This said, kindly create a new test client account under your existing test manager account (you don't need to create a new test manager account). Let me know if you encounter problems.
