Requesting tracking template for DSA and shopping campaigns

Hi there

I am looking to make requests to extract the tracking template that applies for both dynamic search ad campaigns and shopping campaigns. I would like to no which field names within which report types are relevant.

So far I have tried two different requests and neither provide data that is not null.

These are the TrackingUrlTemplate field in the CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT type and the EffectiveTrackingUrlTemplate field in the FINAL_URL_REPORT type, both of which return null values for DSA and shopping campaigns.

Any advice?

Hi Max,

You may refer here for the list of report types with TrackingUrlTemplate attribute. You may try these report types to check if the value of this attribute is null or not for these report types.

Also, before you get the TrackingUrlTemplate in the reports, please ensure that this is being set in the supported entities so you can expect that it will be returned in one of the report types. Aside from that, for DSA and shopping campaigns, please make sure that you follow this guide on how to set-up a tracking template with the correct value track parameters. The trackingUrlTemplate field must be set for the DSA and shopping campaigns.

If you can confirm that a tracking template is already set (with correct value track parameters) on the said entity, and still, it is not being returned in the corresponding report type, then kindly provide your report definition so I could further check.
