v201607 - INVALID_FIELD_NAME_FOR_REPORT combination of ClickType and video quartile columns stopped to work ?

Hi,

Since this morning, we are experiencing an issue with the v201607 API version.

We are requesting reports with a bunch of columns that contains the following :

• ClickType
  
• VideoQuartile100Rate
  
• VideoQuartile25Rate
  
• VideoQuartile50Rate
  
• VideoQuartile75Rate
  
• VideoViews
  

It seems that this is no longer working but this should still working  :

Also it seems that we will have to make the changes when we will upgrade to the v201609  (but not for the v201607):

The video quartile columns (VideoQuartile25, VideoQuartile50, VideoQuartile75, VideoQuartile100) are no longer compatible with the ClickType column. If you include any video quartile columns in a report request that also includes ClickType, you will get a ReportDefinitionError.INVALID_FIELD_NAME_FOR_REPORT error.

Hi Benjamin,

The ClickType column in AdWords API reports was marked incompatible with the following engagement and video-related fields in version v201607 and earlier:

• AverageCpe
• EngagementRate
• VideoQuartile25Rate
• VideoQuartile50Rate
• VideoQuartile75Rate
• VideoQuartile100Rate
• VideoViews
• VideoViewRate
• AverageCpv

This change was enforced from Dec 1, 2016 and was announced here.

According to migration guide and announcement link there is no mentioned of ViewThroughConverisons field incompatibility with ClickType.

Does ViewThroughConverisons field incompatibility with ClickType is appropriate?

Also, this fields working fine for v201607 only issue with v201609 and after.

Hi,

View-through conversions track the value of your display or video ad campaigns to measure the conversions where a customer saw—but didn't click—an ad before completing a conversion. Since there isn't a click associated with these conversions, the ClickType field is not compatible with this field. Please see this guide for the list of fields which are incompatible with the ClickType field.

Yes, I saw same, but my observation is that It is working on v201607, but not on v201609. So might be documentation for viewThroughConverisons compatibility with ClickType might be missing.

I see that this change was introduced in AdWords API v201702. I'll get in touch with the team to have the documents updated. Could you retry the report request with v201609 and let me know if it works?
