REQUESTED_METRICS_FOR_MANAGER with Test Account

Hello,

I get an error through OAuth Playground when requesting metrics for a Google ADS Test Account through a test developer-token.

The error is:

            "message": "Metrics cannot be requested for a manager account. To retrieve metrics, issue separate requests against each client account under the manager account."

The error is quite clear: I think I should do request against a client account not the manager.

Thus I've created a test client user and invited to the Test account as Administrator but I need the customer ID but I can find it nowhere. The ID I find when I login with the Client account is the ID of the Manager account which is the one I get the error for.

Could you please clarify when I find the customer ID for a client account?

Hi,

Yes, report requests can only be made against client accounts when using the Google Ads API. So I can better assist you in finding the client account that you created, could you share with me your test MCC account ID? You may reply using the Reply privately to author option.

Also, you may create your your test client accounts directly under your test MCC account ID by using the CustomerService.CreateCustomerClient method.

I finally made it. I was adding the client simply inviting him but I should have created an account from the Account Section.
