How to get the status of an Ad Extension Asset

Hi,

I need to read the status of an Ad Extension Asset. I would assume that this field would exist in the asset resource, with similar fields like asset.id and asset.policy_summary.approval_status. But I can't find it?

With legacy Ad Extensions, or feed-based Ad Extensions, this property would be available as feed_item.status. I looked up how to migrate feed items and their status, but the code examples ignore the status (at least in C# sample code)

So, the question is, which field contains the status of an Ad Extension Asset?

Hi,

If an asset is used as an extension, and to acquire the status similar to the feed_item.status, you will need to generate a report such as the campaign_asset where you can then extract the campaign_asset.status. Let me know if this is what you're looking for.

Thanks for your answer. I was under the impression that campaign_asset.status describes the status of the asset-campaign LINK, similar to campaign_feed.status, which describes the status of the feeditem-campaign link. Maybe I'm wrong, and the two feed-fields (feeditem.status and campaign_feed.status) are merged into one asset-field?

You are correct that it does describe their link. However, the existence of the said link indicates that the particular asset was used as an extension and that it is indeed serving in that level.
