Campaign types setup

Hi

In Google Ads UI i can see 7 campaign types, may i know the possible types support via Adwords API, since am using PHP client library.v201809. PFA. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out. With regards to your concern, you can check here supported campaign type in the Ad Words API. If you want to get campaign type you can use campaign performance report with advertising channel type field. Please refer to this code example.

These are my understanding about campaign types setup by refer this link.

Here my doubts are
- Dynamic search ad campaigns
- Call only
Where i can see these types in Google Ads UI. Also please answer below,

1. 4 campaign types are available in Adwords API,
    Search, Display, Shopping, App, i can see Video is not available in API.
2. What about Smart and Recovery Campaign types, is thsse comes under any API classes?

Please clarify on these parts

Thanks for reaching out. Please find my answer to your question.

1. Thanks for reaching out. The Video Campaigns are supported only in reports. There is already a feature request to support the Video Campaigns using CampaignService in the API. Please keep an eye on our blog for the new announcements and updates on the new release.
2.  Smart display campaigns are available in AdWords API. You should be able to use the Ad Performance Report to get ad data from these types of campaigns. You can use campaign performance report with advertising channel type field by filtering Display.

Actually am looking to create campaign, will focus on reporting later. Can you please update previous queries with reply from campaign create aspects. Also let me the campaign types availability in API of the screenshot attached.

Thanks for reaching out. With regards to your concern, please find my answer to your question below.

1. You can create dynamic search ads campaign under search campaign type. Please refer to this documents. The call only campaign you can choose the type of search  campaign type and In "Choose ways to reach your goal", select the box next to "Phone call" . Please refer to this document to create call only.
2. Smart  and Discovery Campaigns are not yet supported in the AdWords API or the Google Ads API. Please refer to this documentation for a list of supported campaign types in AdWords API or this documentation for Google Ads API. A feature request has been put in place for Smart and discovery campaigns type, but we do not have a timeline for when it will be available. For any updates on this, please keep an eye out on our blog.
