Hi,

I'm wondering what's the difference between 1) Enhanced_CPC and 2) Manual CPC with enhancedCpcEnabled and How do they affect campaign children entities?

Thank you.

Hi Anna,

Enhanced_CPC is a type of bidding strategy that raises bids for clicks that seem more likely to lead to a conversion. It also lowers them for clicks that seem less likely to lead to conversion. While for Manual_CPC, it is a bidding strategy based on manual clicks where user pays per click. If enhancedCpcEnabled is true, then it enables bids based on conversion optimizer data. You can check here for more information regarding bidding strategy types.

In regards to how the Manual_CPC with enhancedCpcEnabled affect campaign children entities, I would recommend you to post this concern in the AdWords Community Forum as this is more of a product level concern.

Thanks,
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Thank you for your reply.

Just wanna be more clear, is it safe to assume that a campaign with a biddingStragegy=Manual_CPC and enhancedCpcEnabled=true is optimized for conversions by leveraging the advertiser tracking conversion data. And a campaign with a biddingStragegy=Enhanced_CPC is optimized for conversions without using advertiser tracking conversion data. Is that the main distinction? Thanks.

Best,
Anna

Hi Anna,

This seems to be a product level concern already. I recommend you to kindly post in the AdWords Community Forum as their team can better assist you on how these bidding strategies differ from each other.
