MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd Image previews

Good morning/day/evening Google Ads team.

I have a quick question on API documentation.

For ResponsiveDisplayAdwe can get Image preview:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.ResponsiveDisplayAd?hl=uk

in logoImage and marketingImage fields which are of type Image https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.Image?hl=uk and have sourceUrl .

My next goal is getting similar preview for Ads of type MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd?hl=uk#marketingimages . My client can see Image previews for such ads in Ads UI. But in documentation I was only able to find marketingImages field which is 

AssetLink[] . My question is if there is any way to pull Images previews from API for Ads of type MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd ?

Hello,

Unfortunately, ad preview for MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd is not available via the API. Please follow our blog for any future updates regarding this feature. However, you could try to use the adAsImage field to get the template ad rendered as an image.

Hello Oksana,

Thanks for the details. The ad '3...2' is MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd which is an enhanced form of ResponsiveDisplayAd. Using AdGroupAdService.get you only get these fileds which are supported for MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAd. That said, image ad url is not available using API. Let me know if you have any further questions.
