Adwords API's keyword Planner use Account Setup

Hello,

We are using Adwords API interface for keyword Planner to get the usage count for keywords for analysis. This whole process is manual at this point. But now we are trying to change the process to programatic so that we write a tool which calls the Adwords API and get us the usage count for keywords which we already have in system.

In this situation, I have some questions answered before we jump into it.

1. We have to create the google developer account and follow the process listed on 

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/signingup ?

2. Since Our purpose is for just do analysis and hit the api only for keyword Planner and not go for any ads or anything... What amount we are expecting to pay to google for using API ?

3. Is there any limit on per day that we can hit this API?

Will this apply us the same way https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/ratesheet ?

The rate sheet and non-compliance fees guide you referenced has some information about account access levels and non compliance fees.  You can apply for standard access by filling out this standard access account form. Please check out our rate limit guide for operational limit based on access level.

Hi Umesh,

I started the signup for MCC account but It asks me to create a ad. I do not want to create any ad. Is there any way we can just crate the MCC account and not create an ad ?

Hi Dhwani,

If you want to get only past statistics for keywords using Keyword planner, you don't need to create your own Ad in the AdWords. You can use the TargetingIdeaService to get the past keyword statistics. Please check out our Java client library GetKeywordIdeas example.

Hey Umesh,

I am stuck with the initial set up not actually using API. I read that i have to create MCC account so in that process it asks me to enter the ad info. so When I click on Keyword Planner from your reply, I brings me to url for get started and asks me to finish the ad set up..

You can create the My Client Center (MCC) account to apply for access to the AdWords API, which is the first step in our sign up guide.

Hi Dhwani,

The screenshot you referenced is from the AdWords account creation and not from the MCC account creation. Please create a My Client Center (MCC) account to apply for access to the AdWords API.
