Empty response on reports beyond campaign level

Hello,

I am querying the API in python; both the AdWords and the new Google ads APIs had the same behaviour: I can get data when I query at the account level or campaign level but reports such as Criteria Performance or Ad Performance send an empty table as a response. Performance data is well displayed at an ad level on the UI and daterange is not the problem. 

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thank you for contacting support. To better investigate, could you provide to me your clientCustomerId and the complete report definition you used to generate both the Criteria and Ad Performance Reports? You may send your reply via the Reply privately to author option.
