How to use googleads-php-lib without MCC account.

Hello there,

I am trying to use googleads-php-lib to upload custom audience list in my Adword account. Is there any way to use this API without having MCC account.
Please suggest.

Hi Nikhil,

You will need OAuth credentials and a developer token in order to use AdWords API. Here is our guide on how to sign up. 

Once you are all set, you can create a custom audience by following the steps in this guide.

My question is that how I can use AdWords API without MCC account. I have gone through sign up guide as per your suggestion but found that it requires MCC account in oder to generate these credentials. Please suggest.

Hi Nikhil,

Yes, in order to use AdWords API, you need to generate credentials from an MCC account.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your confirmation. We have successfully integrated the API for test Adword account. Now we wants to integrate it with our live Adword account. We have MCC account and will use it to generate required credentials and assuming that we will not require 'Test Manager' account during this integration. Please suggest.

Hi Nikhil,

Since you have a production MCC account, you can check your Access Levels in the AdWords API Center of your Account Settings. If you have Test account access, you will need to apply for either Basic or Standard access. 

Once you have your developer token for these access levels, you can generate your credentials from the MCC level.
