API to invite user to programmatically created account?

Hi,

I'm looking to see if the API supports the ability to create a new account and invite a user to it. (I see some questions in this forum from several years ago but wasn't entirely sure if they were asking about the same functionality.)

In the AdWords UI I see the ability to optionally invite someone to a new account:

In the API and sample app, I see a way to create a new account -- is it possible to invite a user by their email address to this new account?

Hi Mike,

In the AdWords API, manager account can invite a client account or another manager account to agree to be managed. Please check out managing customer accounts guide for more details.

Thanks for the reply. I've seen that for connecting 2 existing accounts. Is it possible when creating a new account to invite a user to it? My screenshot above has the functionality I'm referring to from the AdWords UI.

Hi Mike,

In the AdWords API, when we create new AdWords account, we need to specify AdWords manager account credential. The new AdWords account gets created under an AdWords manager account and no need to send invite for linking to manager account. Please check out CreateAccount Java example code from the client library. Other languages example code could be found here.
