Hi,

I'm using GEO_PEFORMANCE_REPORT adhoc report for video campaigns (AdNetworkType2 = "YouTube Videos").
For some reason the clicks / converted clicks stats return 0 all the time, while the CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT return valid results.

Is there any known discrepancy / contradiction between video campaigns and location based reports (clicks and installs metrics)?

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you provide me privately the report request for the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT and clientCustomerId? Just click Reply privately to author in the forum when responding.

Hello,

Thanks for providing the report request. The Clicks field does not correlate to videos. Typically you want to use the VideoViews field but this is currently unavailable to the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.

Thanks!

What about converted clicks? It's seems it doesn't work as well for video campaigns.
Moreover, are you planning on supporting county (geo) based video views anytime soon?

Hello,

The ConvertedClicks field does not correlate to videos. The field Interactions is an interaction the main user action associated with an ad format-clicks for text and shopping ads, views for video ads but this field is currently unavailable to the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.
For support of country (geo) based video views please watch our blog for any announcements.

Hi Again,

It's a bit misleading. Your saying that clicks doesn't correlate to videos, but the VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT has the clicks field in it.
Are you sure about it?

Hi,

Clicks for video ads are still counted, but a Click does not necessarily translate into a VideoView or Interaction for those ads -- it merely means a user clicked on the ad. For example, the user may have not actually watched the video ad after clicking.

Regarding conversions, if I look at your video campaigns via the VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, I see there are some campaigns with Clicks > 0 and VideoViews > 0, but all show Conversions = 0

I'm looking at a date range of THIS_MONTH -- do you expect to see video conversions for that date range? If I look at the Campaigns tab in the user interface and Segment by Network (with search partners) (which is AdNetworkType2), the subtotal for Video shows Conversions = 0 and Converted clicks = 0.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team
