Hello Google Ads API Team,

I’d like to clarify the behavior of budget recommendations in the following scenarios:

  1. When a budget recommendation is generated, does it immediately become invalid if we manually modify the campaign’s budget outside of the recommendation (e.g., via API or UI)?

  2. If a budget recommendation suggests increasing the daily budget from $80 → $100, but before applying we manually increase the budget to $120, would the recommendation still be applicable (setting it to $100), or would it be invalidated since the current budget no longer matches the state when the recommendation was created?

  3. Do budget recommendations only suggest increasing budgets, or is it also possible to receive recommendations to decrease budgets?

We want to ensure we’re interpreting recommendation validity correctly. Could you please confirm the expected behavior?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,
Ayush
