Hello Experts,
I am totally new to this Ad-Words API. However, I have been following the Ad-words API documentation and developer's guide.
I did the following things so far:
1. I have registered the Ad-Words API account.
2. I also have created an MCC account (didn't link it to any other api accounts) and signed up for the Ad-Words API, but I haven't got any developer's token yet.

Now I have two questions,
1. How would I get my developer's token ?
2. Is it necessary to provide the billing info in order to proceed with the signing-up process and use the API.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
-Rehan.

Hello Rehan,

All instructions for requesting a developer token and setting up billing can be found on our sign up guide.

Step 2a covers how you get your developer token:

Navigate to [Settings (gear icon in top right corner) >Account Settings (drop-down menu) > AdWords API Center (left menu)] and follow the instructions to apply for AdWords API access.

Step 3 covers setting up your billing information. This is required before you can use your token.

Hello Michael,

The 'Adwords API Center' is not showing up on the left hand side of my manager account, test account or live account for adwords. The
only options are Account Access, Linked Accounts Notification settings, and Preferences.

Has the Adwords API Center menu moved? I need this to find my developer token.

Thanks for your time!
Steve

Hi Steve,

The AdWords API Center link is only available for production manager accounts. A manager account will have the "Manager" tag before the account ID in the UI. If you don't see the red "This is a test account!" label on your AdWords account page, then the account is a production account. If you don't already have a production manager account, you'll need to create one by following these instructions for creating a manager account and then apply for API access. Could you provide your AdWords manager account (MCC) ID (e.g 123-456-7890) so I can take a look?

Thanks,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.
