Adwords API - Low Search Volume Error

Hi,

Is it possible to make an API which identifies low search volume for individual keywords?

Sorry for delayed response. Are you referring to existing keywords in your account, or whether you are researching new keywords? Please provide more details for your above question.

Umesh,

Thanks for your response. I am referring to existing keywords within our account. We are trying to identify low search volume keywords so that we do not negative match them from broad match campaigns [In order to negative our exact match keywords so we can bid seperately].

We are unable to find this except in the status report, which we can pull in a CSV, but it would be preferable to identify a API response if possible,

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi David,

You could run the KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT where Impressions < some threshold. That gives the list of existing keywords that has low traffic. Please check out Conflicting Negative Keywords document for more details.
