Hi all,

A new blog entry was posted to the Clear Skies Blog for the night of 25 April 2025 in Talma (Grandpré), France.

Among the observations is one for an HII region in a galaxy that turned out to have its own designation, and a pair of galaxies that made a good effort at mimicking a double star.

3 More astrotrip blogs are coming, soon.

Cheers,

Victor

You had me at "H II region in a galaxy," Victor! I'm excited to hear that you FINALLY got some observing done. Checking my notes, I have yet to attempt an observation of VV 88, but it's been on my list of ones to try for in my 16-inch since maybe last summer. As for VV 1618, I didn't know about it, but can't wait to check it out now!

Here's blog 2 of 4: https://clearskies.eu/blog/astrotrips/27apr25/

There's another HII region in there, this time in a Messier galaxy.
