The epithet 'sampradayavit' is employed by Shankara in the prasthana traya bhashya on the following four occasions:

१ । Brahmasutra bhashya 2.1.9 (The cited verse is Gaudapada Karika 1.16)

Bhagavadgita bhashyam: 13.13 ((The cited verse is Gaudapada's Uttara Gita Bhashya)

Brihadaranyaka Up.bhashya 2.1.20  (This is a story related by Shankara as popular in some text not known to me.)

What is surprising is that all the first three instances are from Gaudapadacharya's pen.  The third one, Uttaragita bhashya, is largely admitted as a genuine work of Gaudapadacharya. Could it be that Shankaracharya knew this work of his Paramaguru?

Namaste Subbuji,
That is certainly new information - I hadn't encountered the view that the famous quote अध्यारोपापवादाभ्यां निष्प्रपञ्चं प्रपञ्च्यते was from the uttaragItA. Do you happen to have a reference to a verse number? I have read a statement, which appears speculative to me, that it is from sundarapANDya's vArttika.

Re the AkhyAyikA from Br 2.1.20, Anandagiri says that it is from draviDAchArya's work, again, name unknown.

Regards,
Venkatraghavan

In the Uttaragita bhashya text https://adbhutam.files.wordpress.com/2021/05/uttara-gita_and_gaudapada_comm._1910.pdf     Sri Gaudapadacharya mentions in the avatarika to the verse 1.7:

We are not very sure whether that line is a composition of the Acharya or it is a citation of someone else's words.
