Resected Vidwans, Vidushis, and fellow sadhaks,

Namaste !

Is advaitic view of moksha 1) sva-svarupe- avasthanam   and / or 2) atyantika sukha prapti, atyantika dukha nivrutti ?

Are both the same, or some shade of difference between them?  In your answers, if you please quote any guru-shastra upadesha too, it will help my further reading.

Ø     As per Advaita paramArtha there is no mOksha nor bandha, what is there is one and only.  However from the transactional view point avidyA nivrutti is mOksha.

Are both the same, or some shade of difference between them?  In your answers, if you please quote any guru-shastra upadesha too, it will help my further reading.

Ø     Phalatvaprasiddhirapi mOkshasya bandhanivruttimAtrApekshA…it is just like getting back our natural healthy body after brief illness 😊 Our mOksha svarUpa is quite natural.

Hari Hari Hari Bol!!!

This Chandogya 8.3.4 mantra is about the jiva attaining to its true nature:

स्वरूपावस्थानम् is also termed/meant to be moksha.  In Chandogya Bhashya.

Mandukya bhashya

In the Taittiriya Bhashyam there is the statement of Ananda praapti in this life itself by the Jnani:

However, in videha mukti it can simply be said that one remains as Brahman.  The ananda anubhava is not possible in the absence of the mind apparatus.  It is not wrong to also say that mukti is Aatyantika duhkha nivrutti.  Here too, in videha mukti this feeling 'I am totally free of all misery' is not possible, for the same reason:  no mind apparatus remains there/then.

regards
subbu
