It is not often Swami Sarvapriyananda visits Sacramento and so I signed up for the 'retreat' yesterday on Drg Dryysa Viveka. It was heavily oversubscribed, 1249 registered for 99 seats!

Since there was another post about Sri Ramana, I thought of mentioning a humorous anecdote about Who Am I.

It was a question posed by a Vaishnavite devotee to Sri Ramana about whether he can get to Vaikunda, see God and what will God say..It starts at the 1 hour 27 min mark (link takes you directly there)..

Dear Sundar Rajan,

Even the humorous reply of the Mahatma does not deviate from the Shaastra.  In Advaita there is a Krama Mukti.  The Ishwara, Saguna, Upasaka goes to Brahma loka (Vaikuntha in this context) and is taught the Advaita Atma Vidya by Brahmaa (Vishnu in this context), the head of that loka.  The one who gains that vidya there, at Maha pralaya, when that Loka perishes, will attain videha mukti along with all the others who have gained Jnana, never to return to samsara.
