Hi Steve.

Here is a quick guide to help get you started.

First you need to download and install Virtual Audio Cable. or VAC for short, the free version gives you one stereo virtual audio cable, which is sufficient for this purpose.

Once installed, go to the VDJ audio configuration in the MallMuzik Software, and set the master output to use the virtual audio cable, also configure a microphone input if you want to pass the microphone through to Clubdeck as well.

Then in Clubdeck, find the link that says 'toggle audio settings' and select it. then find the first combo box (normally by pressing 'C'), this should take you to the audio input for Clubdeck, and select the same virtual audio cable, you set for VDJ master output. then close the audio config box in Clubdeck.

You should now have the VDJ master output going direct into Clubdeck.

We do have a  regular room on Clubhouse on Thursday afternoons, at about 4pm GMT, and most of the users in the room, do feed direct from VDJ. so if you need more help pop in and we can all help and get you up and running.

All the best

Pete

Hi Pete, so i followed your steps but i can't hear any output when i play music. I selected master to the virtual line-1 and clubhouse input to the same as well but still nothing.

Make sure you have the application called "Audio Repeater" open when you send signal to your virtual cable. Just hitting "start" once the app opens is fine, there are options you can change but I wouldn't touch them for now.

Another thing you may want to try if you're a power user or just like typing commands is Audio Director Manager (Audir), a program to manage virtual audio cables with simple commands. If you just want to get up and running though opening and starting an audio repeater should get sound going.

Hope this helps!

Here's how I set it up, and this works great for me.

- VDJ Master out: L1 (your virtual audio cable)
- Repeater: L1 source, fav output device as destination (this is so you hear your master out where you expect to. For instance, I send the L1 audio to my speakers instead of my headphones.
- Clubdeck in: L1 (your virtual audio cable)

I do not have a mic, so don't have a setup for that. If you have a non-USB mic you can set that up in VDJ, if you have a USB mic you can just send that output to L1 (your virtual audio cable).

Other people may be more pro at this, but this setup works great for me. Hope this helps!

Hi Steve,

OK, so I made a slight mistake on my original instructions. Sorry.

The Clubhouse input is the second combo box, not the first.  the first combo box is the output device.

if you need to use a microphone and if it is a USB device, or one that is going into a audio input from a USB connected audio device, you can use it in VDJ, by adding it as a microphone input, in the MallMuzik VDJ audio config. Then while in VDJ. press 'I' to switch the microphone on and off, which will basically send your microphone output to VDJs Master output, and in to clubdeck. You also have microphone options, such as using the 'I' key as a push to talk, with audio ducking.

Hope this helps.

Pete
