Hello, I have a problem. some of my effects like loop out are missing, and I cannot find or use them. Can you kindly show me how to download and install new effects? I'll be very grateful. I'm using VDJ 8.1.
Thanks.

Hi, check in
Mallmuzik/help/file repository
There are .vst effects there that you just need to paste into the appropriate plugin folder, or plugin86 in documents/virtualDJ good luck.

Hello and thanks so much for your reply.
I downloaded the plugin pack, extracted it but still I'm still able to see just a few effects. or is there a way to activate the effects after copying them? is there a way to switch effect packs the way we switch sampler packs? I need to know too.
Thanks once again.

I apologize, I made a mistake twice in my previous post.

Effect files have a .dll extension and these files should be copied to the appropriate folder.

My second mistake was the wrong folder name.
The plugins folder is for VST X86, and the plugins64 folder is for VST X64
Just paste the .dll in the appropriate folder to the
SoundEffect subfolder
and your new effects should appear in the selection list in VDJ
Unfortunately, you can't have effects grouped like sample banks

thanks once again.
I have copied the .dll files to the sound effect subfolder, but still I'm only able to see 12 effects only. so the effects are in both sound effect subfolders of both Plugin and plugin-x64, but still I'm only abe to use 12 effects only. is there something that I'm still not doing correctly?

Strange, since you pasted the effects into the folder for X86 and X64, one of them should work. The new effects should appear on the selection list in alphabetical order right after the built-in factory effects.
You don't have to enable or activate them in any special way, simply when VDJ detects the correct plugin in the folder, the effect should appear on the list automatically after restarting the program.
And how do you use the effects? Do you press Shift+e and select a specific effect for slot 1,2,3 of both decks?
To be sure, try using the MallMuzik Effects pads.
pad1 changes slots
pad2 changes effects
pad3 enables effects
I don't have VDJ8 installed and maybe that's the problem, maybe the .dll should be pasted directly into the plugins or plugins64 folder and not the SoundEffect subfolder.

Hello, and how can I access the MallMuzik Effects pads? I need to try that. I have tried deleting the plugin folders and extracting the effects afresh but nothing changes. Kindly show me how to access the MallMuzik Effects pads.
Thanks.

Hello, first try downloading my effects Then unpack the zip and in the folder you will find the .dll and .ini files
Copy all these files and then paste them into documents/virtualdj/plugins64

Run VDJ and check if these effects are there?

Hello, I downloaded the effect file, extracted it, copied it as told, but still I failed spectacularly. the effects did not show up on VDJ.

So theoretically it should work now, and since there are still no effects the only thing that comes to my mind is that this VDJ8 must work differently with external effects. Also try in mallmuzik/settings/vdj options/vstFxFolder; change to the folder with external effects.

Hello, I tried to look at what you told me, but The funniest thing again is that... that setting does not exist. so unless I try another version of virtual DJ, I'm screwed?

Virtual DJ 8.1 does not support VST effects.
but in the repo there is a file in the effects folder called effects plugin pack
if you download this file, and copy it to the VirtualDJ folder which can be found in your documents folder, and then run it.
it is a self extracting archive file with all the plugins that can be download through VirtualDJ,.
Running this file inside the VirtualDJ folder will extract all the plugins to the correct folders. for 32bit and 64bit versions.

hope this helps.
