Dear Suraj,

Is FACE+OTP a valid usecase for face Authentication? The APIv2.5 says face should be used in combination with other biometric moadality. Is OTP treated as a biometric modality? Please clarify.

packaged in ISO 19794-5 format, which could contain a lossy compressed image having type Jpeg2000. Only one FID need to be there along with another modality. Usage of face alone as biometric modality will result in error “914”.

Face+OTP is a valid scenario/test case for face authentication. Pl read API document as "Usage of face alone as a modality will result in error 914". Correction in API document will be taken up in next revision.

Whoever is requesting  for Face Auth Delta change Pls  ensure it has to be tested with RDS Version 2.0.0. in POC Environment and post clearance same will be elevated to Pre prod & production.  If someone is already executed test case without version 2.0.0.  pls put up a request for version upgrade and  rerun the cases & share updated test report. 

 

We have opened window for provisional certification FP & IRIS Device. Pls make sure your Android & Window solution is included with Face auth  and it should be on boarded with RDS Version 2.0.0. 

Linux & EL will continue to run on Version 1.0.0.

Since 2.0.0 is mandatory for all certified vendors on Windows and Android, will 2.0.0 version be enabled on staging for all the device models by default? Or do each vendor need to request separately for 2.0.0 version.

I think, it is better to add 2.0.0 version support for all the vendors on staging.

It would be great if someone clarifies below mentioned points given in the document Provisional_Face_Test_Cases_&_Guidelines_V.0.1.1.pdf provided by Suraj.

Q1) "Face Image must be ISO 19794-5 compliant"
Best practices to capture good images are given in Annex B & Annex C in ISO 19794-5:2011. However, those are not mandatory requirements for Face ID. Please confirm. 

Q2) "Quality Compression recommended between 35% to 45%, Recommended capture resolution 640X480. The recommended image size is less than 50KB , images greater than 75KB would be rejected at backend."

a) is the range (35% ~ 45%) mentioned with reference to original Raw image file size? 

b) the recommended image size 50KB/75KB is given for which color format  (Y/YUV422/RGB)?

Q3) As per ISO 19794-5:2011, Table 2, Distance between eye to eye is 120 pixels for 640x480 resolution. Can we go for other resolution such as 670x900? if so, will the distance between eye to eye is expected to be width/4 i.e. 670/4? 

Q4) "Liveness check with Random – Eye Blink function, Gestures, Face rotation etc. Time taken to capture face, average should be less than 5 sec and shouldn’t exceed 10 secs" 

As this is cooperative liveness, user has to perform at least one Gesture, I think user needs more time to perform these gestures. Can the latencies mentioned above be relaxed taking this into account?
