I'd like to encourage each and every one of you to make a 'faces of science' post! I've attached mine as an example, and a template to help you make yours. You do not have to follow the template, just make sure that the text is big enough to read, and the photos are high enough resolution to see.
The point of this exercise is to show
1. That there are many different types of people "doing science", and
2. Very few of us fit the scientist cliche. I said this in a way I regret at the last WAFS meeting: No, many of us are not 'white guys in lab coats', but I want to acknowledge that some of us are, and your story is also valuable.We are all much more than we appear, we each came to science in our own unique way, and have our own unique story to share. So please, everyone, make a 'Faces of Science' post and send it to me!
