WRSC Spring Regatta - May 17-18 Let's Race!!

Hi All,

 

The WRSC Spring Regatta is less than 2 weeks away.  There are currently (5) A-Cats and (5) 505s registered.

 

I just registered to race with Skinny Sheila in the Open Class, but if nobody else registers in that class then I will switch to the A-Cat.  Registration is here:

I would, however, my wife has this "thing" on Saturday.... Something about graduating with a doctorate....

I mean, it's like her sixth degree, so.... I told her that it was kinda like a fifth wedding, at some point people stop attending the ceremony, sending gifts and go to regattas instead.... 😉🤣

I think Sam and I are planning to sail Sunday, probably not in a racing capacity, however.

Team Expletive would like to race in the Spring Regatta if you don't mind having only one competitor to race with.  If you want to try one day on each of your boats,  that would be fine too.

Hi John,

I haven’t had much time to get the boat(s) ready and out on the water.  With the Annapolis to Miles River race a week after the Spring Regatta, I’d like to focus on the F16.  So, I’m hoping you and others(?) will register for the Spring Regatta Open Class.  If it turns out there’s only two of us, that’s fine too.  So, please go ahead and register.  Maybe that will encourage other spin boats to join the fun!

Glad you registered.  To clarify, what I said on Tuesday was, “Gordon said he’d cover your entrance fee”.  I can’t prove that Gordon ever said that, but that’s what I said he said.

Will and Sam, and anyone else interested,

Please consider racing on Sunday.  I will have Rob Lancaster as crew; probably he'll drive some too.  So we will be very competitive on Sunday because Rob always seems to be fast.    Constantine on his F16 will be there as well and is of course hard to beat.   Anyway we would love to have some extra competition.  Right now the forecast is a bit windy, so maybe that will scare you off.  

Saturday looks like much lighter wind, and so I'll have my light wind crew then:  Peiqing.   Actually, it just worked out that way because Peiqing only wants to race one day, and Rob is only available Sunday.
