HT application and APRS messaging

I start to play with the APRS function of the application. Can't figure out how doing those simple task (that is possible with APRSDroid)

1 - sent message to someone we know, but not on the map (like VE2CCK-10)

2 - sent messages to a gateway (like the famous SMS gateway)

3 - Add a recent communicate user in my favorite

Can't find how initiate a message where I will input the destinator... 

Is those option simply not there? 

The only way i figure to communicate, is initiate first the communication from my APRSDroid, then reply from HT (test done in pure radio mode)

I noticed this the other day. I wanted to check in on APRS Thursday, but could not figure out how to enter the destination.

Finally, find a way, but i think having "send" button will help in the future.
