I have used two Android devices on my N7500 during initial testing/setup.

When I create a network channel on "Android A" and select RELAY MODE all works well.

If switch to "Android B" (only one connected via Bluetooth to radio) and select an existing network channel - WITH THE SAME USER/LOGIN - I receive an "Administrator Privileges Required" error message.

Why can't I turn on RELAY with another Android device as my host computer?

This is very frustrating.

Please help.

-------------------------

This is my first test setup with the N7500.

I have connected an 18aH LifePO4 battery and charger.

12V is also used to keep the tablet charged.

I will be installing a SIM card in the tablet and an inexpensive cellular data connection for a reliable remote base station.

$6.00 per month for 2GB. of DATA ONLY from Tello Mobile.

Connect this to a small solar panel and you have a nice remote 'frequency agile' remote base station.

I think they are fixed to the phone you are using.

If it's a corporate phone, it's the corporation that did that.

Unless you installed non secured applications, and one of them block your phone....

Is there any work-around?

Hi Bill

I did a test between the US and UK and if I remember that we found that there was only one manager/Owner and a second person but they had restricted command as we wanted the second person to be able to change frequency but it was not possible as it was down the owner of the group...
I think they tie the channel to the phone in someway may be EMI no... Serial number.
If it can't be done I would suggest a second channel for the other phone.

Got it.

This makes changing Android devices (if needed) difficult as registered users must all be advised of a new URL.

Bummer.

I will keep the group apprised if I discover a work-around.

Not if your business don't allow it.
So personal android device (or Apple) is the option.

In my case, i dedicated a tablet to my Vero

I concur.

It appears that a device that creates the cloud channel is somehow bound to this channel exclusively and even with a change of Android device LOGGED INTO THE SAME ACCOUNT connected to the radio breaks these links.

So its wise to make sure that the Android device chosen is the permanent dedicated device before advertising available channels in the cloud.

---------------------

NOW THE QUESTION REMAINS...

I need to remotely access/control this dedicated Android device as the radio and Android will be installed in a remote location without easy operator access.
