https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53552595The cue sheets in the above links are the normal RideWithGps cue sheets. I may make some more detailed Excel based cue sheets soon.
FWIW, here is a link to the whole 600 km route:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53636828The starting point is the intersection of Stadium Dr. and Northgate Dr. in Waxahachie.
People doing the longer rides will probably want to make hotel arrangements at the La Quinta Inn at 311 Stadium Dr. in Waxahachie. The hotel is about a block from the start.
For those doing a single day event and not staying at the hotel, I recommend parking in the Wal-Mart parking lot near the RaceTrac gas station at the intersection of Northgate Dr. and Highway 77. It is about two blocks from the start. The RaceTrac has a large store with bathrooms.
Current start time is 7:00 AM, though I am willing to entertain other options. Please contact me with your thoughts.
IMPORTANT: At 2 AM on Sunday, March 8th, clocks will move forward by an hour in observance of daylight savings time. This happens in the middle of the 600 km. There is a 40 hour time limit on the 600 km. If we start at 7 AM on Saturday morning, we will have until midnight on Sunday night to finish the 600 km.
Sunrise is at 6:48 AM on March 7th, and sunset is 6:25 PM. Nighttime equipment will be required for the 300 km, 400 km, and Day 1 of the 600 km. Please bring nighttime equipment for the 200 km or Day 2 of the 600 km if you think you might need it.
RUSA membership is required. Visit the RUSA website for membership details.
Lone Star Randonneur membership is also required. See the LSR website for membership form. Get the form and the funds to Dan Driscoll sometime prior to the ride.
In the spirit of randonneuring, all routes are unsupported.
I will post waivers in a later post.
Please let Dan and me know if you are considering riding.
