Hi Trailers

This Saturday we return to Newlands for a lovely Forest meander.

Route

Newlands Parking, Woodcutters, Contour Path, Kings Blockhouse return

Starting from Newlands Forest ParkingĀ  https://maps.app.goo.gl/w3YFJhhPHptA45BE6 (šŸ‘ˆšŸ¼Ā click for directions) we head straight up through Littlewort, heading up to Woodcutters, then the cycle track taking a right up to the Contour Path. Turning rightĀ on the ContourĀ Path running all the way to the turnstile below Kings Blockhouse, from there we sprint down the jeep tracks back to The Forest Parking


Rendezvous and start time

Terrain & Distance

The route is single track,a few stairs and jeepĀ track with lots of lovely runnable sections.

The planned route is aroundĀ 14.65km,Ā additional distance may be added depending on the pace group leader.

What to bringĀ 

Water, whistle,Ā aĀ space blanketĀ and yourĀ ICEĀ information. The weather can be variable down at the point. Please come prepared.

Please check the weather before you set off from home and pack the appropriate waterproof/warm gear.

  • TMT unfortunately does not allow dogs on its runs.
  • Please carry emergency contact numbers in your bag or on your wrist/shoe

Saturday's Newlands Forest meanderĀ is ON. Weather forcast predicts a warm morning, bring enough hydration for during and after the run. By the time we finish there should be 2 coffee trucks serving fresh coffee.
