Hi all,

This was shared with all who had signed up, but today's planned Albany Lobby Day was rescheduled to Wednesday, February 4th, due to the impacts of this weekend's storm. As a reminder, we are promoting the Stop Super Speeders Act, which we hope to get signed into law this year. The Stop Super Speeders Act would require any driver who collects either 16 or more speed tickets in a year or 11 or more points on their license in 18 months to have a speed limiter installed in their vehicle. This device would prevent them from driving more than 5 mph over the local speed limit.

If you can join us on February 4, RSVP here and let me know.

The details for February 4th are the same as they were for today and are below:
  • We will get to Albany via a coach bus leaving from Midtown at 6 am. The same bus will bring us back to Midtown by 7 pm later that evening. The bus is not wheelchair accessible, but we can provide Amtrak tickets to those who require more accessible transportation options.
  • Lunch and snacks will be provided. We'll also have coffee for folks on the bus.
  • In Albany, each team will meet with anywhere from 3-5 different legislators for scheduled meetings in between popping into offices to drop off materials and chat briefly with staffers.
  • We will host a formal training session prior to February 4th
Best,

Hi Rose, you can put me down for this.  It's also on a Wednesday so I don't have any medical appointments.  As stated before, I need that AMTRAK ticket.
The person never contacted me and I'd rather get it from you.
